Students live in twin and a few multiple occupancy rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. We carefully choose the students who will share a room with each other, taking care to match roommates who have a comparable German language level and are of similar age, yet speak different native languages. This way we encourage them to speak and practice German with each other outside of the classroom. Boys and girls are housed separately.
The friendly atmosphere of the building will help the students to soon feel at home in the new environment. The students have Wi-Fi access at the school.
Our students receive three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as a snack daily.
Laundry service is offered to all students free of charge once a week for their personal laundry. Bed linen and towels will be provided and changed regularly.
The closest airport is Frankfurt.
No flights are not included in the price. You will need to arrange your own flights, although we are happy to advise which flight to book.
Transfer between the airport and your school can be arranged. The prices can be found on the dates & prices page.
All meals are included in the price. You will, however, need money for socialising and shopping during your time away.
The school does not permit friends or even students of the same nationality to share rooms. Staying with a student who you didn’t know before your trip is a great way to widen your circle of friends while getting the chance to practice your language skills with new people.
Having a foundation of conversational German is beneficial to students going on any of our language courses but even less advanced students will see their fluency flourish in a short space of time during this immersive experience.

I am delighted to give a review of Anne-Marie’s 6 week stay in Cádiz. She would tell you that it was the highlight of her TY year and a tremendous opportunity for her to mature and experience increased levels of independence. She learnt a considerable amount in Clic for the ...
I really enjoyed my time in La Rochelle. There were lots of activities such as sailing and bowling. My host was very nice. She was very welcoming.
It was a great experience to immerse myself in the French Language in La Rochelle. Everybody in La Rochelle that we met were very nice and corrected our mistakes when speaking that was very helpful. I learnt most of my French while at home with my host. Overall I learnt a lot and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to La Rochelle and all of the teachers & instructor’s, they couldn’t have been nicer.
Overall it was a very good experience and I really enjoyed it. Most of the classes were very good and I learned a lot. I do think that some of the exam prep classes were a bit long. All the organized activities were really fun and enjoyable. The house was very nice and in a good location not being too far from school or the town. I would recommend this to others.
I’ve had a great time in La Rochelle and would recommend it to younger students looking to improve their French. My host has been extremely helpful and kind. She cooked great food. The classes were enjoyable and challenging, and the teaching were very good. Overall, I’ve had a great time here in La Rochelle.
I love it! I improved my French so much!
